Recorder Groups London Performance Fund

Aim

Fundraising for performance projects and instruments supporting the activities of ensembles run by Recorder Groups London.

Recorder Groups London is the website covering the teaching activities of Julie Dean, a Recorder teacher and performer based in London. Her recorder teaching includes pupils from early years through to adults covering ages from 3 - 80+ years! 

As as individual tuition she runs 3 weekly recorder groups for adults based in London as well as other course and tuition. 

Bonhoeffer Recorder Group (Advanced class, Monday evenings, Forest Hill), Pimlico Recorder Group (Tuesday evenings, Pimlico) and Crystal Palace Recorder Group (Thursday evenings, Crystal Palace)

Each year there are two concerts where pupils and group join together to share their music making and raise funds for various charities. As of 2026 over £11,000 has been raised for a number of different causes. 

This fund has been set up to allow for the purchase of more instruments to be used by the group and for funding for future performance activities. 

Our first project is to raise funds for the purchase of a collection of Renaissance style recorders to  allow the groups to experience this repertoire on appropriate instruments.
