Aim
We're looking to raise money to help us fund a large number of banners to be used in The Stretford End
Manchester United have always done things differently and prided ourselves in being innovators both on and off the pitch and whilst we don't believe that banners or 'tifo' necessarily add to the atmosphere themselves, the emerging new football culture in the UK is leaning more towards using visuals in the stands. Our view therefore is to embrace this and to do it in the Manchester United tradition of, 'if we're gonna do it, we might as well be the best' - which means utilising as much of the Stretford End as possible and putting on a proper show with massive displays, far bigger and more impressive than anything we've ever seen at Old Trafford before.
As part of the 'Reclaim The Stretford End' campaign, all banners are designed by you, the fans, not The Club, meaning that they will always be relevant to the traditions of our fan culture and carry a meaningful message that we can all, as United fans, relate to. TRA also designed the 'United bar scarf' artwork that was across the entire Stretford End during lock-down, the infamous 'Hatchet' flag for Lisandro Martinez and the recent 'BEM-VINDO A CASA, RUBEN' flag to welcome the new manager to Old Trafford.
While TRA will always try to fund as many flags as possible, we simply don't have pockets deep enough to allow us to fund enough flags to cover the entire Stretford End. We prefer for our designs to have the air of authenticity that can only happen when they are both designed and funded by us, the fans.
