Reclaim festival 2024 is brought to you by Cleethorpes urban Art festival an annual grassroots free family event

Reclaim festival 2024 a celebration of youth ,is brought to you by Cleethorpes urban Art festival an annual free family event celebrating all four elements of hip-hop and the togetherness that brings .A weekend of world renown graffiti artist descending on Cleethorpes to painting large scale murals infront of your eyes ,breakdancing ,music and so much more on Cleethorpes seafront 

On the 10th and 11th of August at the outside of Cleethorpes leisure centre ,18 graffiti artists will paint live over the weekend. You will see artists create 18 x 16‘ pieces of art from start to finish over the two days. Along with this DJs and MCs playing music all weekend

There will be break dancers on Sunday, the 11th of August performing and conducting youth workshops free all day, as well as multiple craft activities families can participate in and yarn bombing all weekend . This year we are doing a celebration of youth so are going to include a lot of young people with talent we are still in the planning process of the event so a lot more will be announced but we plan to include a lot more local artists and other types of art and music . We would also like the chance to do large scale walls and need funding to make this happen 

Cleethorpes urban art festival has been organised by local community artist Lyns . for the past 9 year .Most years she has done this on a shoestring budget and due to the generosity of both local business ,community and the artists, DJs, mcs and breakdancers ,coming to take part in the event either for an extremely reduced rate or no payment at all so we have still been able to hold the event most years . All the funds we raise goes towards artist costs Which include boards, paint, accommodation and travel . The event is a creative explosion of inspiration with both local and national artists and music taking part. To make the event happen we need to raise in excess of £15.0000 this year we would love to raise more so we can include more activities and locals to the weekend .
