Reception - The Musical

Hello 

We just wanted to give you an exciting update...

Thanks to your wonderful support, we have written and developed a script for 'Reception - The Wedding Present Musical' and have finally managed to secure a venue.   We really are so very grateful. 

The show will premiere in Leeds in August 2025 and it will help to mark the 40th Anniversary since the release of the band's debut single 'Go Out And Get 'Em Boy'.   

We want to thank you for your patience as we have battled Covid and cancelations over the past few years...but we are finally at a point where can finally make exciting plans for next year. 

'Reception' will be officially launched - with tickets going on sale - at the end of October.    We are about to announce this to Wedding Present fans via the band's newsletter where they will be able to sign up via the show's new website to gain access to special 'wedding guest' tickets.   This will include a seat at a cabaret style table where a three course meal will be served as the evening and show unfold.  

However...there will be an even earlier pre-sale window for original crowdfunder supporters to have first choice of available seats and dates.  

We are aware that there are still one or two rewards to be sent out.   A signed script...tickets for the first night...and these will be sorted in the coming months. 

We are incredibly excited that this ambitious project is getting closer to fruition....and we wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for you. 

We're looking forward to the next stage of the journey...
