Rebels marching to COP26 in Glasgow

Aim
The aim of this project is to offer accommodation for rebels coming through Portsmouth as they march to COP26 in Glasgow.
At the end of September, 12 people are arriving in Portsmouth from Spain, ahead of their ‘March to Glasgow’. They’ll be walking about 20 miles each day, and ending in Glasgow in time for COP26, highlighting the urgent need for the world’s Governments to act now on the climate crisis.
On Saturday 2nd October, they’ll be walking the first leg to Southampton, and if you’d like to join them, email us for details. We’ll be learning some Spanish climate songs, and raising awareness to those that we pass.
They’ll have a couple of days in Portsmouth before starting, so we’d love to give them a great Pompey welcome. We’re looking to raise £500 to cover the costs of accommodation, meals and a space for them to meet local activists and get ready, so please donate to cover the costs. Any remaining funds will go with them as a gift of love for the time they are giving for our planet.
