Rebecca Johnson is fundraising for Mind - The National Association for Mental Health Charity No. 219830

£1,043
Like many people, mental health problems have touched many areas of my life.
Growing up, my mother struggled with her mental health which manifested in alcoholism which sadly took her life.
If you want to hear more about my mum and my upbringing I wrote an article for Marie Curie about my experience of grief and growing up with an alcoholic parent - Talkabout article
Personally, I have grown up with anxiety and depression. After having my twins I was diagnosed with post-natal depression - which I am still getting help to this day.
I am aware I am one of the lucky ones as I have been able to get the support I needed. However many people in the UK don't have this support available to them. This is why organizations like Mind are so vital.
I will be running the London landmarks half marathon on behalf of Mind.
I will be sharing as many sweaty photos of my progress on my instagram - Rebeccajuneolgaotte
If you are not too sure how much to give here is what Mind uses your money for.
£20 could run our online peer support community for an hour, helping people connect with others and feel less alone. £40could help our Infoline answer calls, providing someone with vital support and information about help available for them.
£50 could help us campaign for better mental health services from the Government, ensuring people get the support they need, as soon as they need it.
£100 could pay the cost of one of our Infoline or Legal Line advisors for a whole day. Thanks to your amazing support, we can maintain our advisors, ready to answer calls for support and help.
I am aware times are tough - so even if you can spare a few pounds for a training run it would mean a lot to me.
Thank you for all your support.
