Things CAN get better. Will you help us call for the REAL change we need for climate, nature and people?

Can YOU help make the Government deliver REAL Change for climate and nature?

Last summer, Labour won an overwhelming majority with a simple, one-word promise: ‘Change’.

But after announcing new airport expansion, refusing to rule out Rosebank, and drafting a new Planning Bill that allows builders to pay cash to trash nature—we’re all asking the same question:

Where is the CHANGE we voted for?

At Zero Hour, the campaign for a new Climate and Nature Act, we know time is running out to address the climate and nature crisis. The 1.5°C threshold was breached last year—marking the hottest year on record. In early 2025, wildfires across parts of the UK increased by 1,200%, yet the Government is still dragging its feet on climate and nature action.

We know that people want to see climate and nature action. New research shows that 89% of people across the world want their national governments to do more to fight the climate and nature crisis.

But most of all, we know that tackling the climate and nature crisis will deliver REAL change for people across the UK—those disillusioned with politics, hit hard by the cost of living crisis, and worried about the future.

In the meantime, the 1% are looking out for themselves. Dangerously, Tony Blair— former PM and lobbyist for Saudi oil companies—has turned net zero scaremonger. And Nigel Farage continues to peddle misinformation—also funded by big oil. But we’re fighting back against the lies and denial with a science-backed plan to turn things around.

We love it when a plan comes together

Written with the help of leading scientists and experts, the Climate and Nature Bill has been designed to ensure that the UK follows the up-to-date science on the crisis. It’s a win-win for everyone, because taking action on climate and nature isn’t just about reducing emissions or protecting habitats—it’s about securing a liveable future for all.

It also has the potential to transform our lives, benefiting not corporations but ordinary, working people—including some of the poorest and most vulnerable in our communities.

With Britain’s green sector growing THREE TIMES faster than the rest of the UK economy, there is a huge opportunity and potential—not just for businesses, but for every UK citizen. That’s because taking action in line with the science means delivering urgent and transformational changes across society. Delivering real benefits for real people. These include:

🏡 Warmer, better insulated, damp-free homes

🔋 Cheaper energy bills using home-grown renewable energy

🌬️ Cleaner air from reduced pollution

🛤️ Better, more sustainable public transport

👷 More local green jobs

🌳 Greener spaces, giving wildlife a chance to recover

💦 Cleaner rivers that aren’t filled with sewage or toxic chemicals

No wonder big oil and big business wants to stop it from happening.

How can YOU help us make REAL change?

In January 2025, the Climate and Nature Bill made it to Parliament—a historic moment after five years of hard campaigning. Together, we built the largest cross-party environmental coalition Westminster has ever seen.

The CAN Bill had the support of almost 200 MPs from all the major parties, 1,400 scientists (including four Nobel Laureates), almost 400 local councils and 72,000+ people from across the UK.

But at the last moment, the Government got cold feet and whipped its MPs against the Bill.

As a result, the CAN Bill debate was adjourned early and put on the back burner until Friday 11 July.

Stop and read that again.

Yes—faced with a global emergency, the UK Government delayed the debate for five more months. As Sir David Attenborough warned, this is a crisis that could lead to “the collapse of civilisation”. And yet our leaders continue to stall.

We believe delay is as bad as denial. That’s why we’re calling for the Prime Minister—Sir Keir Starmer himself—to use his power to give the Climate and Nature Bill EMERGENCY PARLIAMENTARY TIME for a proper debate.

This is the moment to show Sir Keir that people up and down the UK want him to tackle the climate and nature crisis and unlock the huge changes that will deliver healthier and happier lives for everyone.

But to do this we need YOUR help. We can’t win this fight without you.

By backing us, you will enable Zero Hour to:

📝 Build a nationwide campaign pressuring the Prime Minister to deliver on his promises with bespoke open letters in 650 constituencies across the UK that will give people a collective voice as we fight for change.

🛠️ Mobilise key allies—from local councils to grassroots organisations—to put pressure on the Government front bench ahead of the crucial debate on 11 July.

🔬Organise leading scientists to use their expertise to show the politicians how dangerous the situation we’re in now is.

👥 Bring grassroots campaigners across the UK to Parliament to lobby their MPs.

📣 Work with politicians from all parties to build an unstoppable consensus of voices calling for change because this issue is too urgent to be left to tribal politics.

With YOUR help, we can hold the Government to account—and put pressure on Sir Keir Starmer to keep the promises he made to the electorate last July.

Can YOU help us deliver the REAL change we all want to see?
