To provide local families an opportunity to learn new cooking skills with our school Chef, to create healthy and affordable family meals.
'Ernesettle Community School, Together We Learn, Always striving for outstanding, raising the aspirations of a community.' This message is at the heart of everything we do for all our stakeholders, especially our children. We are completely committed to developing compassionate, courteous pupils with resilience and the confidence to persevere when they face a challenge; this will empower them to build a successful future for themselves and thrive within both the local and global community in which they live. Staff inspire pupils to ‘Go out in the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.’ Situated in an area of Plymouth where the deprivation indicator is significantly above national, Ernesettle Community School is truly committed to working in partnership with the local community in order to: improve the quality of life for others; raise awareness of local needs and charities; support local businesses and promote community spirit. Simply put, Ernesettle Community School is at the very heart of the community which it serves.
The rising cost of food, fuel and other essential items has had a big impact on our local community. Therefore, Ernesettle Community School would like to try and support families where possible. Ernesettle Community School are crowdfunding to be able to provide families with the opportunity to attend cooking sessions with our school Chef and take ingredients home, to create healthy and affordable family meals. We aim to provide families with a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where they can learn new cooking skills through practical lessons and demonstrations, whilst picking up some top tips from Chef Kate along the way!
The funds raised will be used to directly support each cooking session with Chef Kate and also allow us to send families home with the ingredients they need to have a go at cooking their own delicious and affordable meals.
