Aim
The aim is to bring back the online Perth Life website as an arts, entertainment, and leisure publication at the start of 2026.
Perth Life was an online and physical magazine that predominantly covered arts, entertainment, and wellness stories across Perth and Kinross. Known locally for its "People of Perth" series during the pandemic, the organization supported venues and events with its "Monthly What's On Guide" and delivered two physical editions to Perth and Kinross, with over 10,000 copies.
Due to ongoing running costs and other external factors outwith our control, both the website, historical content, and social media channels have been down and quiet now for over 2 years.
We are looking to bring back the online Perth Life website in early 2026, and are currently crowdfunding to get the project off the ground. With the hope that once we have secured initial fundraising, we will be able to source funding and sponsorship to keep the online magazine growing and busy.
We are also hoping to edit and update some of the historical content that was published in the magazine previously, like the 'People of Perth' series and other great stories that are no longer available.
With £1,200 raised by December 2025, we will be able to:
- Get a new logo created by a local designer
- Build a new website, including security and website hosting for at least 2 years
- Edit, update, and move selected historical articles over to the new website
- Relaunch campaign including new content, videos, and images in January & February 2025
We will be able to secure the support from local freelancers and writers, build a stronger social media following, as well as incorporate feedback from businesses and individuals that we have worked with previously.
Milestones:
- July - Launch Crowdfunder campaign + fundraising materials (please let us know if you would like to support our fundraising efforts at your event)
- August + September - New public business plan and long-term financial plans to showcase the ongoing sustainability of the project
- October + November - Marketing plans, sourcing external support for January 2026, project plan
- December - Sourcing funders, funding pots, and creating sponsors
