Aim
To re-elect Tommy Sheppard, SNP candidate for Edinburgh East & Musselburgh, at the general election on July 4th.
So, we're off. It's July 4th. I need your help.
The Tories are on the way out. We all know that. I've been standing up to them for nine years, like you I can't wait to see the back of them. But Labour are winning Tories over not by asking them to consider a different worldview but by reassuring them that they can support a changed Labour Party and still be Tories. No wonder disillusion is rife in Labour's heartlands.
Electing SNP MPs means kicking out the Tory government, but also making sure the new one pays attention to Scotland and our distinct needs. We'll fight Scotland's corner and make sure our right to choose an independent future is upheld.
If the SNP wins, our movement will be rejuvenated. But there is nothing the opponents of an independent Scotland want to see more than an SNP defeat.
Elections cost money. Every penny that you donate will help us ensure we continue to have a strong voice standing up for Edinburgh East and Musselburgh. Make no mistake, this will be a hard fight. But it is one I am determined to win.
