Aim

Your donation will support the campaign to get Lorna re-elected, so that she can continue to her transformative work as a Green MSP.

Getting Lorna Slater re-elected to the Scottish Parliament in 2026, will bring back an MSP who has championed nature, including re-introducing beavers to Scotland, who implemented the Recycling Improvement Fund that upgraded out of date recycling schemes all over Scotland, and who banned the single use plastics that we most commonly find polluting our beaches.

Lorna is about getting things done; she has been part of the Scottish Green MSP team who have protected tenants by bringing in rent controls, ensured free bus passes for young people and free school meals for kids in Scotland.

She has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament since 2021. Until she was elected, she worked as an Electro-mechanical engineer and project manager for Orbital Marine Power. She was part of the team that designed and built the world’s largest floating tidal turbine, the Orbital O2, which is currently operating and generating clean electricity off the coast of Eday in Orkney.

Lorna joined the Scottish Greens in 2014 in the wake of the Independence Referendum, because she felt that an opportunity had been missed, and she didn’t want Scotland to miss such a chance again. She had the honour to serve as a minister, alongside Patrick Harvie, in the proudly progressive Scottish Government until 2024.

Lorna is a proud advocate for LGBT+ rights and a welcoming, compassionate, Scotland. She will stand up for her principles against the backtracking of the SNP and the rise of Reform. The Scottish Greens are the progressive left in Scotland, with a long track record of achievement and experience.

This is a people-powered campaign, and your donation will make a huge difference. The Greens don’t have wealthy donors or shady sponsorship, we rely on people like you.

Donations will be crucial to scaling up the campaign. They will:

  • Print window posters
  • Distribute leaflets to voters
  • Help support the Holyrood 2026 election campaign

Thank you

Please note: if you are kind enough to donate more than £50 to Lorna's campaign your name and address will be checked against the electoral register to ensure you are a permissible donor.
