Help Re-Elect Gillian Martin to represent Aberdeenshire East in the Scottish Parliament on 6th May 2021
We need your help.
This Scottish Parliament election is vital for Scotland’s future, and we need all the resources we can get to help re-elect Gillian Martin.
Any contribution, big or small, will help us enormously to help ensure that Aberdeenshire East is represented by the Scottish National Party at Holyrood.
Why support my funding appeal?
The SNP has delivered for the North East while in government, and I have worked hard to represent the people of Aberdeenshire East in Edinburgh. Our constituency needs an MSP who will keep fighting, and government that will keep delivering.
I will fight for a just transition to a more sustainable economy, and to protect jobs in our area. I lobbied for a Transition Training Fund to help people in Oil and Gas to change careers, the Scottish Government helped deliver the National Decommissioning Centre at Newburgh, and put in place the Energy Transition fund. As the world continues to change, I will fight to keep high skilled jobs in our area.
I will work to ensure our young people are supported as they make their way into a post-Covid-19 world. I worked to ensure each secondary school will have a trained mental health counsellor, for free period products and to ensure covid-19 didn’t prevent college nursing students from missing out on vital placements. The Scottish Government has ensured that higher and further education remain free, has delivered the Baby Box to help new families, and has delivered thousands of new affordable homes. If elected I will continue to fight to help give young people what they need to build their lives
A vote for me as your SNP MSP will help make sure Scotland’s voice is heard. We did not vote for this hard Brexit, nor the damage that it has wrought. Polls consistently show that, in these changed circumstances, Scots want another referendum on independence. In a democracy, the people must have their say. Only the SNP can deliver that.
