Re-elect David Linden as Glasgow East MP

The candidate

David Linden has served as Glasgow East’s Member of Parliament since June 2017.  During his time at Westminster, David has been one of Scotland’s hardest working MPs and a strong voice for Glasgow in Parliament.

The campaign

Westminster's cost of living crisis is biting hard and has devastated household incomes all across Glasgow. South of the border, Labour and the Tories are going to slug out this election campaign for the votes of English market towns - but who will put Scotland first? In this campaign, we will campaign to put Scotland first and make the case to coters to give Scotland the right to choose its own future. Our local campaign will be funded by branch funds, but we also need your help to win and to finance the best campaign possible.

What do we need money for?

These are some of the major campaign expenses we need to fund:

- Running a campaign hub – A campaign centre has been set up in Shettleston, but we need to pay for rent, internet and energy amongst other costs. Help us keep that campaign hub running right through until 4th July

- Campaign literature - In the next few weeks we'll leaflet the entire constituency a number of times with campaign literature. It's really important to get accurate information out to voters and to make it easy for them to get in touch with David and their local SNP team.

- Letters to voters - While the purpose of leafleting is to ensure a blanket delivery of information across the constituency, writing letters to voters is all about targeted communication and following up on contacts we have made before. Our campaigners have already contacted many thousands of electors in Glasgow East and will contact many more in the run-up to polling day. It's very important to stay in touch with those voters, so we follow up the initial contact with personally addressed letters.

- Posters & other material - We want to give window posters and and badges to any supporter that would like to show their support. A good display of window posters and a high profile ensures everyone knows there is an election on and encourages SNP supporters to get out and vote.

So these are the kinds of things we are asking you to help fund. Fighting a really good local campaign requires money and we want to fight the best campaign possible to re-elect  David to Westminster as our MP for Glasgow East.
