We're still collecting donations
On the 2nd December 2022 we'd raised £13,551 with 57 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

We aim to ensure that Mini & Junior Rugby is "ReBourne" in the town of Bourne by growing the club to larger than prepandemic numbers

If we raise more money, we plan to further develop the Club Facilities.
We are currently utilising a prefabricated building that is showing lots of signs of wear & tear and age.
There are plans in place to develop the Clubhouse and Changing Facilities and this additional money would support this project.
Since its formation in 1987, Bourne Rugby Union Football Club has been providing access to rugby for all of the local community.
The Senior team compete in the Counties 1 Midlands East (South) League, their highest ever position having been again promoted last season.
Whilst the Senior Team have been relatively successful in recent years, we now are putting a strong focus on our Mini & Juniors Section to build the future of the club
At BRUFC Mini & Juniors we were completely decimated by the pandemic.
Pre-covid there were 100+ kids enjoying rugby every weekend with the Club, however when we started back in March 2021 we only had 7!
We are investing in the Mini & Juniors and we have started to grow our player base again.
Currently we have over 60 kids (boys & girls) playing and we are growing every weekend.
At a grass roots level the Minis & Junior Section is beginning to thrive and is currently catering for children aged 4 to 12 years with the club’s mantra to develop a culture of fun and fair play.
Our aim is to grow the club to have teams at all age grades up to Under 18s in coming years.
The club promotes a vibrant community for the town and its surrounding villages and provides a necessary channel for children to exercise and play in an outdoors setting come rain or shine at weekends and after school under the guidance of trained coaches.
The volunteer coaches and other helpers instil in the boys and girls qualities of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship helping to create resilience in the younger people. The sessions bond the children around a sport that supports their health and wellbeing in an encouraging environment.
We provide rugby in a safe and supportive environment and would like to welcome any new players considering joining the club. We are continually looking to maintain and grow our playing numbers and all potential players are welcome, regardless of age, background or experience.
As a club, we continue to improve the quality of our offering and were awarded the much-coveted Rugby Football Union ‘Accredited Club’ status as a result of the high standards we maintain.
I am sure you know how much work goes into running a Sports Club and at BRUFC it is purely run by volunteers who give up their time for the kids.
We intentionally keep Membership Fees as low as possible, lower than other local sports clubs, as we believe that Rugby should be for all.
With that said, there is also a large financial burden on the club when it comes to insurance, electricity, clubhouse maintenance & redevelopment, playing kit etc and without the support of local businesses we wouldn’t be able to survive.
We rely entirely on our fundraising activities and the support of local business, and we would be grateful if your company would be prepared to support us.
In order to continue to accommodate the increasing local appetite to take part, we need funds to ensure we have the coaching bandwidth and resources to make the club a success.
We need the right ratio of trained and qualified coaches, volunteers and equipment to facilitate the needs of the varied ages and abilities of children turning up each week ensuring all the children have the best experience possible.
We plan to put all coaches through RFU Coaching Courses and all coaches have attended Emergency First Aid for Rugby training to ensure best possible quality and safe Rugby Coaching.
We also need to have the correct training equipment and playing kit so that the Kids continue to enjoy their rugby safely.
Alongside growing the Mini & Juniors Section, we are also currently redeveloping the Clubhouse and Facilities. As you can imagine, the cost of materials has rocketed in recent months and we looking for businesses to partner with to ease the burden of the development costs.
It might be simply buying a piece of wood as an individual or supporting with the cost of a set of rugby posts in the Mini & Juniors area if you are a business.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
