Aim

As Rushmoor Community FC continues to evolve across all football we are looking to develop a playing surface that will enable progression.

Who are we?

Rushmoor Community Football Club is a grass roots football club based in Farnborough, Hampshire. RCFC prides its self at being one of the biggest grass roots clubs in the area providing weekly football for 600 plus members. The club has evolved an awful lot over the last few seasons where we now have over fifty teams split across mens, boys, womens and girls football. The progression within our women's game has seen our first team recently promoted to the Southern Regional Division and competing in the FA Cup. Our men's football is developing season by season and we are striving to bring mid-week football and a higher standard Saturday men's football to Grasmere Road. The most important agenda for RCFC is to continue to provide football and pathways for all abilities, genders and backgrounds. We are a community club with a community ethos.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Rushmoor Community FC has invested a lot of money, time and effort to ensure our home pitches provide a decent platform to play football on a weekly basis for all of our youth and adult teams. Improvements have been made and we continue to work with the FA and Serco to improve the playing surfaces we have available to us. However, in line with the clubs aspirations we would like to develop a playing surface that will benefit and enable our teams to progress to a higher standard of football. This could take shape in the form of a  3G facility or it could take shape by means of investing in our current pitches to ring fence a signature pitch and make it suitable and league fit to match the roadmap our adult and youth teams find them self progressing towards.

With this investment, RCFC can unlock other FA funding to support the wider plans. There are also many associated costs to review pre-planning, planning which will encompass specialist services and legal advisors which RCFC will look to use this funding for.

As a club we  are committed to making this full service provide the best it can be in accordance to our membership and future members needs. We have an amazing club house and facilities and now is time to ensure we can match this with a suitable playing surface.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. If you want to run your own fundraiser to support us, maybe a sponsored activity or similar, use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!

How we’ll spend the money raised

All of the funds raised will directly be invested into the Rushmoor Community Football Club playing surface development fund. This fund will be used to pay for specialist services, legal services, playing surface materials, barriers, lighting and initial seeding money to open wider FA grants.

Community impact

Rushmoor Community Football Club not only want to drive the community football but we want to open our facilities to become a central community hub for all to use. This can be achieved if we are able to use our playing facilities more freely and on a regular basis. As part of improving the playing surface, this project will look to improve the car parking facility to ensure cars are not parking within the local roads. A major area the club really wants to invest into is all sports for those with disabilities. Having facilities to enable this offering will benefit so many people who currently either struggle or can not take part within sport.
