Support Ormeau TTC’s £30k upgrade — new floors, tables & seating to keep Belfast’s table tennis legacy alive and growing!
Who are we?

Image: Twice broke a 'World Record' in partnership with Mary Peters Trust!
Ormeau Table Tennis Club was founded in 2013 by brothers Keith and Gervis Knox and has grown into one of the UK and Ireland’s leading community sports clubs.
Located just five minutes from Belfast city centre, we’re proud to be one of the only full-time table tennis venues in the UK, open daily for players of all ages and abilities.
From beginners picking up a bat for the first time to Irish internationals competing across Europe, Ormeau is home to a thriving, inclusive table tennis community.
We run sessions for schools, juniors, adults, veterans, disability groups, women and girls, and have welcomed thousands of people through our doors since opening.
Why are we crowdfunding?

After seven amazing years in our home at 113 The Mount, East Belfast, our facility needs an upgrade.
We’ve achieved so much from this space — hosting British League matches, Ulster tournaments and community programmes — but our flooring, seating and tables are now well-worn from years of daily use.

This project, “Rallying Belfast: Upgrading Ormeau Table Tennis Club”, aims to raise £30,000 to modernise our club, improve spectator comfort, and enhance the quality of play for everyone who visits.
We’re located in an area of social deprivation, and this upgrade will ensure that our club remains a safe, welcoming, and inspiring venue for people of all backgrounds to enjoy sport together.

How we’ll spend the money raised
Your donations will go directly towards equipment and facility enhancement at our club.
Here’s how we’ll use the £30,000 target:
🪑 New removable spectator seating (£2,500) – Comfortable, flexible seating for visitors and event days.
☕ Community coffee dock (£2,000) – A small refreshment area to bring people together socially.
🏆 Trophy cabinets & wooden club boards (£4,000) – To celebrate our players and club history.
🏓 Six new table tennis tables (£6,000) – Replacing our damaged, long-serving tables.
🧱 New professional removable sports flooring & install (£13,000) – Upgrading our competition-standard floor for safety and performance.
🚪 Smart access control (£1,000) – Enabling secure entry and extended opening hours for members.
🚧 New barriers (£1,500) – Dividing courts safely for training and tournaments.
Every penny raised will go directly into capital items that improve the club and benefit our members and visitors for years to come.

Ormeau is more than just a sports club — it’s a community hub.
We run regular sessions for schools, women & girls, disability groups, and social players, providing a space where everyone can enjoy the benefits of sport and connection.
Our upgraded space will:
- Increase participation and accessibility, particularly for underrepresented groups.
- Enhance our ability to host community events and competitions.
- Create a more welcoming social environment for parents, visitors and supporters.
- Strengthen our role as a positive community asset in East Belfast.
