Cerys Dickinson is fundraising for
LIFT UK
Charity No. 1147360

£195
In May I am going to Kampala to volunteer for Uganda Hands for Hope. I am funding the cost of the trip myself but I am fundraising for donations for the charity. It is a small charity which began over 20 years ago looking after children from the Namuwongo slum who were in danger of not reaching the age of five years old due to the conditions in which they live. The charity has developed into what is now a school for over 350 children of all ages and a social outreach programme. Through providing food, healthcare education and social support the Charity provides opportunities for children and their families to break the cycle of poverty.
As a small charity the money donated will go directly towards funding the school and outreach programme. There is currently a waiting list of children and families and one of the most effective ways to provide assistance is to sponsor a child through their education. For a donation of £25 a month it will provide education, two meals a day, access to medical care and support to the family.
Please visit the charities website where you will see further details of the work they do.

I would be very grateful for any donation you were able to give.
