I am participating in an IRONMAN to raise a minimum of £10,000 for a charity Speed of Sight. I need help raising funds for equipment.
Mike Newman is the 9-time world record holder for being one of the fastest men on the planet. Exceeding over 100mph by both car and boat.
Why is this important?
Mike is blind.
Mike and John Newman (a friend of mine) own a UK based charity called Speed of Sight
(http://speedofsight.org.) They offer life-changing driving experiences to blind and disabled individuals.
I want to raise £10,000 to help them do so. To do this, I will complete an IRONMAN on 15th July 2018 in Bolton, UK
There will be smaller events that I will participate in along the way with the Ironman being the final and ultimate challenge.
I have time to give, but not much money. In order to participate, the costs to join and the bigger equipment I will need help raising the funds to buy. I will continue to raise funds after my initial IRONMAN for the charity and thus the equipment will continue to be used for that. The furthest I have run is 10K and I am NOT an athlete. This will be a ridiculous challenge as I am starting from currently zero exercise before starting today, but I want to do this and make a difference to peoples lives. Money we can always get back, memories we will always treasure. By raising my target, I'll help give a minimum of 80 people a life changing experience. I invite you to help me achieve this.
I will pay for the small stuff but I need help with the big!
