LWCC Food Service is continuing to operate and support those in the community who are in isolation or experiencing hardship during this difficult time. We are based at Honor Oak Community Centre but have changed our operating model to provide a delivery service. We have already seen an increase in demand due to COVID-19 with our client numbers increasing week by week during April and is now almost triple the pre COVID-19 demand.
We have also seen a decrease in donations as we have been unable to carry out our regular food drives in supermarkets, as well as people unable to get out to the shops and restrictions on the number of items that can be bought.
