Or large flat roof covering has deteriorated faster than we though and it needs replacing including the boards the covering sits on.
We are a CIO registered charity, not for profit we manage a community building for Honiton and surrounding villages. /we are home to a toddler group, the youth club, the 729 additional needs club these three alone have used the building for 25 + years. We have 13 groups in all ranging from mental health support, mens sheds, Pilates and rural skills we are also home to our youth orchestra.
We managed to replace a second smaller roof last year at a cost of £11,000 and have put in a wheelchair lift. Unfortunately this roof has seriously deteriorated over the two years since we took over and is at risk of collapsing in another bad winter. Our groups could not afford to relocate as we charge a very low room and space hire fee. In fact we have given community groups low or no cost space to help them become established.
We also need to fit double glazing on our first floor as the windows are just single glazed, noisy and draftee, a good time whilst the scaffold is up for the roof.
