Hi, I'm Danni. I am a trustee of a new not-for-profit organisation called Rainy Day Foundation.
Rainy Day Foundation is based in the Havens area, East Sussex, England. Our goal is to provide quick and low-cost access to therapy for those that feel they have no place to turn.
Accessing to therapy via NHS is met with long wait lists, private therapy is financially inaccessible to most and other charities only offer helpline's which can be useful in a crisis but do not allow the root issues of mental ill-health to be addressed and there is no chance for client rapport to be built when hundreds of employee's are ready to take phone calls, there is no guarantee you will speak to the same person twice.
Rainy Day Foundation was born through the trustee's losing a beloved family member, Richard David Fox. Our Richard sadly committed suicide in February 2025 and the months of grief and questions that followed were too much to bare.
We felt that this could not be the end of Richard's story, we could not stand by and allow other families to feel the grief we have felt and other individuals to feel so stuck in their world, they believed there was nowhere else to turn, like our Richard.
So, RDF was born with the intent to create a legacy and a solution to the national mental health crisis in England. If you wish to find out more please visit our website and social pages to stay up to date with all fundraising events and services being offered.
