I’m hoping to raise £4,500 to record a second album with award winning Engineer/Producer Wes Maebe at Europe's top studio.

We're still collecting donations

On the 12th May 2023 we'd raised £3,925 with 56 supporters in 70 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

I’m hoping to raise £4,500 to record a second Raie album Red Brick Angels with internationally celebrated, award winning Engineer/Producer Wes Maebe at Europe's top Galaxy Studios in Mol, Belgium.

The money raised will cover the studio fees and associated production costs. Whilst I've been able to save enough to cover the musician's fares and provisions, if I beat my target, it will help me to to cover session rates for the UK top musicians featuring on the album.

The story so far…

In February 2020 I was proud to launch the first RAIE album; This Music Thing - then one month later, global lockdown happened!

Not to be deterred, during those quiet months I worked virtually with our incredible producer Wes Maebe - and together, we penned some beautiful new songs. Check out our acoustic rehearsal of Young Love, a Bennett/Maebe composition.

... recently RAIE sold out the renowned Hope and Anchor, Islington, London to re-celebrate the achievement of This Music Thing. We introduced a couple of the new album songs. There was so much encouragement, warmth, support and love in the room so thank you again if you were there physically or in spirit. Myself and the band are using this as extra fuel to complete the production of album number two.

Check out RAIE playing the chorus of VC song at Hope and Anchor, inspired by the Netflix TV series about the stain on humanity that was the 20 year Vietnam War.

I am super delighted to announce that Wes - who is now working at Europe's top Galaxy Studios - has invited RAIE to Belgium in spring '23 to put down 11 songs in 6 days. Wes has also already offered to sponsor the album!

So this is where you get on board and join RAIE on our trip to ‘the Galaxy’!

I am offering a whole range of wonderful ‘RAIE experiences’ in exchange for your contributions and am confident that with the love and help from you – our friends, family and supporters - or anyone else who reads this fundraiser and digs our music ... I can raise enough to cover Galaxy Studios and engineering fees.

I’ll keep you informed every step of the way with film clips, live chats and posts on those Raie journals, like this early living room rehearsal clip of Bringin’ Me Back Home.

Meanwhile, Wes and I have invited the magic first album team back to bring their creative genius to the table ... well the mixing desk!
