To enable those in Reading who struggle with financial hardship, to access our education work and our productions.
We at RABBLE want to make our work accessible to anyone restricted by finances, by creating a hardship fund.
We make award-winning, community-focused professional theatre in unconventional venues, plus a variety of adult & youth acting classes, workshops & masterclasses. We keep prices as low as possible, but we know that finances are holding many talented people back.
Our Hardship Fund will create equality of access.
Reading is wonderfully diverse (46% ethnic ‘minority’) but perhaps it could be a bit more integrated. Community groups tell us that many feel unwelcome in cultural settings; that theatre’s for the white, middle-class, whilst others are stuck in a vicious financial circle.
The RABBLE Hardship Fund will create free opportunities for interaction, skills & friendships at high-calibre productions & classes.
