Aim
Raise money for a local amateur club and support us going into our 105th season!
Who are we?
Queens are a local Rugby side going into our 105th season. We play a competitive yet still social level (Counties 2 - Level 8) and run a first team and a Vets (over 35s) Side.
Why are we crowdfunding?
As a club our main source of income comes from sponsorship. Unlike the vast majority of teams we face, we do not have our own ground so we do not take any income from bar takings or club hall bookings or gate receipts.
We rely on the generosity of our sponsors alongside contributions from club members in the form of subscription fees. We are looking at ways for more of our community, supporters, friends and family to help support the club with smaller financial contributions in order to keep involved with the club and support Queens moving forward.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The costs of running a grassroots rugby side are numerous. The club has to pay for rent of the facilities, training nights on the AGP, Tournament and RFU fees, food for the opposition, equipment such as balls, cones, bibs & Playing Kit, Travel costs, the washing of the kit and more. All funds raised will go towards these general running costs of the club.
How you can play your part
All donations are appreciated no matter how big or small. To be entered into our prize draw the minimum is a £20 donation with rewards available for any figure above this.
Please also share this among anyone you may feel can contribute- Queens has been going for over 100 years and has played a big part in many people's lives. Spread the word to anyone who would like to support the club.
Aside from this- get down and support that boys- it's always great to see support on the sideline and in the bar afterwards.
