Aim

A safer, more compassionate society where human rights are actively upheld, and individuals + communities are empowered to prevent violence

WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of women who have gained healing and empowerment through self-defence training 

We believe that life saving information is a human right and that everyone should have access no matter their financial situation.

We believe learning boundary-setting and self-defence skills strengthens the foundations on which all relationships are built.

Our project is a direct response to the alarming rise of hate crime and violence against women in Edinburgh and across Scotland.

Every penny raised in this campaign is an investment in making safety and empowerment accessible to everyone.

Funds raised will be used to 

• Develop dynamic curriculum - £2,500

You're support allows us to pay expert instructors to distil years of high-level training into a playful game-style curriculum enabling learners of all ages and abilities to participate.

• Deliver Public Health Education - £1,500

Trauma-informed, self-defence,  conflict-resolution and bystander intervention classes for communities. For every £50 raised we can deliver   2x1hr classes FREE for communities affected by violence 

• Infrastructure - £1,000

Contributes to the cost of building the digital and physical infrastructure of our organisation including marketing, training and building a sustainable business model to support free classes.

With your help we aim to bring free self defence classes into any community that needs them. Lets do this!

Grab some merch, gift it to all your friends, give out stickers, wear a hoodie, book a workshop or donate £5 if that's all you can afford! And if you can't afford any of this please spread the word and make sure everyone knows this is for them!

We already secured £5,000 Start It! funding from Firstport in March 2026 to help research, plan and launch our project / this crowdfunder. 

We aim to match this grant with to cover our projected £10,000 costs for this year. 

We aim to build a sustainable business to support free, community based, life-saving, boundary setting and self-defence education.
