Recording & Livestreaming of EWFF 2025 Panels

Aim

The Edinburgh Women’s Fiction Festival is entering its third successful year. A Livestream recording expands our audience beyond attendees.

The Edinburgh Women’s Fiction Festival was set up in 2023 to celebrate writing for, by, and about women. It is an event that welcomes everyone who finds joy in reading women's stories—commercial, romance, historical, literary, book club and beyond. Key Objectives are:

• To provide a platform for women’s genre fiction – typically overlooked by other literature festivals.
• To encourage, respect and celebrate all readers of women’s fiction, including romantic fiction.
• To reach a broad spectrum of readers including those from socio-economic backgrounds who do not normally attend literature festivals.
• To promote the mental health benefits of reading.
• To create a community of writers and readers of women’s fiction in Scotland.

It will cost under £1000 to plan and execute a livestream of our eight panels for those who are unable to attend our panels events in person on 26th & 27th September 2025. Crowdfunding will allow us to set this up in advance.

We will charge £2 per panel (or £10 for all eight panels) for livestream access on the day as well as access to watch recordings. Crowdfunders will create the opportunity for everyone and receive free access link rewards linked to their donation.

Gift Aid. If you are a UK tax payer, please opt for Gift Aid. The government then gives us 25p for every £1 you donate. Since it’s intended for gifts we cannot give you unlimited rewards. Value must be under 25% of the gift. So if you can afford £40.50 we can give you a full festival link. If you only want to watch one panel the £10 gift will work. If you would like two panels that comes with a £20 Reward.
