On 23 Aug, the Streatham site of Julian's Primary school suffered a serious fire. We will soon be crowdfunding to help support the school.
Update: for the initial phase of our crowdfunder, we will be raising money to help fund resources for our temporary site, including but not limited to
Class libraries
Morning club games and resources
Welcome packs to support the transition for all children
If possible, we would also like to donate provide a morning tea for the hard working Julian's team of superstars!
11/09 - first fundraising goal achieved - thank you so much for your generosity! We have added a new stretch goal of £10,000. All funds will be used to support our school.
Overnight on 23 August 2025, Julian’s Primary School, Streatham, suffered a serious fire. Around 40% of the roof at the rear of the building was destroyed, and sprinkler activation has left roughly half the school affected by water damage. The result is extensive internal damage, and for now the entire Streatham site is unusable for health and safety reasons.
Julian’s isn’t just a school, it’s the heart of our community. It’s where children begin their learning learning, friendships are made that last a lifetime, and where families come together. We love Julian’s for its dedicated staff, its welcoming spirit, and the way it celebrates every child for who they are. It’s a school full of laughter, creativity and kindness, and that’s why we are determined to help it recover.
Our community has already shown huge kindness, asking how they can help. While insurance will cover much of the repair work, the PTFA is fundraising to help replace what may not be covered, and help with the many extras that make Julian’s such a special place for our children.
We don’t yet know the full list of needs, but we will liaise with school and will share regular updates on where the money is going, as soon as possible. In the meantime, every donation - big or small - will make a real difference. We have started with an initial goal of £5000, but we believe it's possible the needs of the school may stretch well beyond this. We are so grateful for any support. We also welcome fund matched donations - please contact us at [email protected] to discuss this further. Any surplus funds will go towards the PTFA’s ongoing work supporting both sites of the school.
