Aim

CAR BOOT captured audiences online. Now help us fund new episodes and grow this uniquely British comedy series.

I'm Eva Best, an independent filmmaker, writer and actress from Southampton, UK, and the creator of CAR BOOT, a comedy mockumentary that started as a passion project and has since found an enthusiastic audience online.

The first episode was made on an almost zero budget, powered entirely by the dedication, talent and goodwill of an incredible cast and crew who believed in the idea. Thanks to their hard work, we proved that CAR BOOT connects with audiences and has the potential to grow into a much bigger series.

My vision is to create a uniquely British comedy that celebrates eccentric characters, awkward humour and the communities we rarely see represented on screen. With more episodes, we can expand the world of CAR BOOT, introduce new characters and stories, and raise the production quality while keeping the heart and authenticity that people have responded to.

The money raised will go directly into making new episodes possible. Most importantly, it will allow us to pay our cast and crew what they deserve for their time, skill and commitment. It will also help cover equipment hire, locations, production costs, post-production, sound, music and distribution.

Independent filmmaking often relies on people giving their time for free. This campaign is about changing that. It's about giving a talented team the resources they need to create something special and building a sustainable future for CAR BOOT.

With your support, we can turn a zero-budget pilot into a fully realised comedy series and show what independent British comedy can achieve.
