To fund the creation of beautiful Highland yarn and grow a small creative fibre business in Scotland. Creating an avenue for yarn preordes
Highland Magic Fibre Arts is a small creative fibre business rooted in the Scottish Highlands. I work directly with local farms to turn Highland-grown fleeces into traceable, small-batch yarn: keeping value, skills, and materials within the region rather than exporting wool out of the UK.

My vision is to build a sustainable Highland-based fibre studio that combines yarn production, teaching, and textile art. This project focuses on producing the next mill run of Caledonia yarn, made from locally sourced fleece and spun in small batches so each run can be fully traceable from field to skein.

Funds raised will be used in two key ways:
• £4,000 will go directly toward mill processing costs for the next batch of Highland-grown yarn.
• £2,000 goal will fund an upgraded electric spinning wheel setup (e-spinner) to increase my capacity for handspun yarn and art yarn production.

By supporting this project, you are helping keep Highland wool working locally, supporting small farms, and backing a slow, transparent alternative to mass-produced yarn.
