Aim

Help us bring 93 ’til Infinity to life: a Leeds hip-hop theatre show, exhibition and community project with Pay What You Decide tickets.

Written by Ruth Cooper-Rowan & Ed Heaton, directed by Rachael Halliwell, with lyrics co-written by acclaimed MC, writer & beatboxer Testament, the show follows three former teenage friends who reunite at a museum exhibition celebrating Leeds hip-hop culture. Through music, memory & confrontation, it asks what happens when the stories we grew up with no longer match the lives we ended up living.

Alongside the production we are also redisplaying some of the most popular parts of 50 years of Kulture, an exhibition celebrating the history, creativity & legacy of hip-hop culture. This means audiences will not just come to see a play - they will step into a wider celebration of music, memory, community & local cultural history.

At the heart of 93 ’til Infinity is a commitment to making the work with the city it comes from. Alongside our professional creative team, we are building a community cast of local performers and emerging artists who will help bring the world of the show to life.

That matters because this is a story rooted in Leeds: its music, its communities, its youth culture, its friendships, & its changing identity. We do not want that world represented from a distance. We want local people visible in the work, in the room, & on the stage.

The money we raise will help us support that properly. It will contribute towards rehearsal time, production costs, access support, community cast expenses, exhibition costs, & the practical work needed to make sure the people involved are valued for their time & contribution.

By supporting this campaign, you are helping us make a show that is ambitious, local & genuinely rooted in the community it represents.

You are helping us put Leeds voices, Leeds talent & Leeds hip-hop history where they belong: at the centre of the production.
