Aim

Safer parking. Better access. Stronger community. Help us build a car park at Bee Fold for 400+ young players and supporting community.

Who are we?

Atherton Collieries Juniors FC is one of the fastest-growing grassroots football clubs in the area, supporting over 400 young players across 20+ teams. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, we provide inclusive football opportunities for boys, girls, and pan-disability participants, creating a safe and positive environment for young people to develop both on and off the pitch.

Our home at Bee Fold Lane is more than just a football site — it’s becoming a true community hub, bringing families together through sport, wellbeing, and shared experiences.1776867304_whatsapp_image_2026-04-21_at_09-44-08_2.jpeg

Why are we crowdfunding?

As our club has grown, so has the demand on our facilities. Currently, limited parking means families and visitors often have to park on surrounding residential streets, causing congestion and inconvenience for local residents.

We are crowdfunding to build a dedicated car park at Bee Fold Lane, creating a safer, more accessible environment for everyone who uses the site. This will significantly improve matchday and training experiences while also reducing the impact on our neighbours.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Funds raised will go directly towards the construction of a new hardstanding car park, including ground preparation, surfacing, and safe access routes.

This project will:

  • Improve safety for players and families arriving on site
  • Reduce roadside parking and congestion
  • Make the facility more accessible for all, including disabled visitors
  • Support the continued growth of grassroots football in the community

Community impact

The new car park will significantly improve safety and accessibility for over 400 young players and hundreds of weekly visitors. By reducing roadside parking and congestion, it will create a safer environment for families while easing pressure on local residents. The project will strengthen community relationships, increase participation in sport, and support a more inclusive, welcoming environment for all.
