We’re tripling the size of our tiny Peckham store to create London’s coolest stationery shop, with books and a coffee bar. Help us build it!
If you've ever visited our flagship store, you'll know it's small but mighty. We've always dreamed of doing more with it, but space has been (very) limited.
For the last 5 years, we had our warehouse onsite where we fulfilled all our orders. We recently decided to move it offsite, meaning we now have TRIPLE the retail space and finally the chance to completely rethink it into our dream stationery-bookshop-coffee spot.
At a time when life feels dominated by screens, speed and AI everything, we're creating something (deliberately) slower where you can disconnect, discover cool new things, and accidentally spend two hours after popping in for a notebook.
We're hoping you can help us bring this vision to life.
Firstly, our new space will have a new name to go with it: Etc.Paper, sitting nicely alongside our sister store across the alley, Etc.Store.
But why a new name? Well, this new chapter marks the beginning of our wider “Etc” universe. What started as an in-joke (“extra The Completist”) has become something bigger for us - meaning we're more than one thing.
We’re embracing the idea that we can evolve and grow. So yes, we’re making a stationery store that’s also a bookshop with a coffee bar. Because honestly, why not?
And have some big plans for the new space, including:
In order to have the best home for our new ideas, our space desperately needs some TLC and upgrades.
We need to:
And yes, we’ll largely be doing it ourselves. Just give us power tools and an idea.
Over the next few months, you’ll probably see us covered in paint, attempting DIY jobs we’ve never done before, and slowly bringing Etc.Paper to life.
And here's where you come in: we need your help to get this over the line!
We really believe physical spaces matter more than ever right now - and we want to turn our new store into London's best kept secret.
We see ourselves as part of Peckham’s thriving creative community, and our events programme will find new and unexpected ways to bring people together - from crafting to book clubs, launches, talks and everything in between.
Being on a shoestring means we need as much help as we can get, and don't worry, we've got some great rewards for when we do relaunch (oh yeah, that's important - we're relaunching the space in mid-September).
So, if you love what we do, we'd love your support. And if nothing else, South East London deserves its own stationery store - right?
Paper people, unite!
