Keeping vital support alive for a community that’s too often overlooked. Help us continue.
People often think they understand Long Covid or ME/CFS —but until you’ve lived it, you can’t. Every task, every social outing, every sound or light can drain our limited energy. It’s not laziness—our bodies simply can’t keep up.
With few clinical pathways and little support, many are left to cope alone. Brain Health Breakthrough CIC changes that. We provide peer support, understanding, and connection, so no one has to face this alone.
As a small, lived-experience-led organisation, we support people with Long Covid, ME/CFS, brain injury, and other energy-limiting conditions across Lancashire and beyond.
Since 2019, our peer support groups, counselling, wellbeing activities, and community projects have been a lifeline for hundreds of people who often feel unseen and misunderstood.
Right now, we urgently need help to keep these essential services running. Without immediate funding, some vital programmes may have to pause — programmes that offer connection, understanding, and hope every single week. lifelines for hundreds who often feel isolated and misunderstood.
Some feedback form our community.
100% of people agree that the peer-support group gave them somewhere safe to turn & somewhere to feel understood. People feel seen & have a voice whilst living with the condition
“I hope and pray this support group continues as I don’t know what I would do without it. I always feel better about things and feel that there is hope that things will improve after a meeting 😃”
“Until I found this support group, I had been isolated for well over a year knowing nobody else who had long-COVID. It’s an absolute godsend to have others that understand fully and can help each other. It’s an incredibly lonely illness at times, it can be fairly invisible to others not suffering with it. So to have the support of the group is invaluable! “
Your support will directly help people living with life-changing conditions access the compassion, connection, and care they deserve.
Even a modest contribution can make a meaningful difference — helping us stay sustainable, inclusive, and a steady source of support for those who rely on us every single week.
