We aim to make Blue Lagoon fully inclusive with a specialist hoist and accessible changing, so everyone can enjoy warm water swimming.
We are Blue Lagoon Warm Water Centres, a passionate team dedicated to creating a truly inclusive space where everyone in East Sussex can enjoy the benefits of warm water therapy. Our vision is simple but powerful: to make health, relaxation, and wellbeing accessible to people of all abilities.
We believe that no one should be excluded from the proven benefits of warm water activity. It reduces pain and stiffness, supports mobility and balance, enhances relaxation, and improves mental wellbeing. For many in our community, it can be truly life-changing.
We’re proud to be working alongside disability ambassador Peyton Vella, whose support and advocacy are helping us turn this dream into a reality for the disabled community. Together, we want to ensure that Blue Lagoon is a place where every single person—regardless of ability—feels welcome, supported, and empowered.
To make this happen, we are hoping to raise £60,000. This funding will allow us to purchase a specialist hoist so disabled people can safely and comfortably access the water, and to convert our changing area into a fully equipped disabled changing facility.
This project isn’t just about equipment—it’s about people. It’s about giving the East Sussex community a unique centre that truly champions equality, accessibility, and wellbeing.
