Help us create The Jungle Experience, a rainforest-inspired wildlife education and conservation centre for the whole community.
Help Us Build the Future of The Jungle Hut
For nearly nine years, The Jungle Rangers Jungle Hut in Earlswood has been introducing families, schools and home-educated children to the incredible world of reptiles, wildlife and conservation.
Now we're preparing for our biggest step yet.
The Jungle Hut is becoming The Jungle Experience.
Our new home will allow us to create larger, more naturalistic habitats for our animals, immersive wildlife experiences and dedicated spaces for education, private visits and community activities.
But we need help to make it happen.
We've Hit a Major Hurdle
The project is now moving forward. Plans are being prepared and we're working through the planning and licensing process.
Unfortunately, we've also discovered just how expensive those first steps are.
Before the main build can even begin, we're facing costs including approximately £600 for planning drawings, £800 for a required bat survey, planning application costs and around £800 towards the zoo licensing process.
These aren't the exciting things visitors will eventually see.
But without them, we can't move forward.
For a small Community Interest Company, finding thousands of pounds for professional reports and applications before we've even bought the building materials is a huge challenge.
Why We Need £25,000
The core build and specialist fit-out is currently expected to cost more than £30,000.
Our £25,000 Crowdfunder will help towards:
Larger, naturalistic reptile habitats
Specialist reptile lighting and equipment
Converting the open barn
Electrical infrastructure
Education and private experience spaces
Secure perimeter fencing
Planning, surveys and licensing costs
We'll be doing as much of the construction ourselves as possible and approaching businesses for donated materials and support.
We're not asking people to build this for us. We're asking for help buying the things we can't build without.
This Is About Protecting Our Future
We've reached the limits of what we can achieve within our existing Jungle Hut.
The Jungle Experience isn't about becoming bigger simply for the sake of it.
It's about protecting nearly nine years of work and giving The Jungle Hut a sustainable future.
We already have the animals.
We have the experience.
We have the premises.
We have the plans.
Now we need the help to build it.
Every donation, whether it's £5, £10, £30, £100 or more, moves us another step closer.
And if you can't donate, please share our campaign. One share could put our story in front of the business, supplier or person who can provide exactly what we need.
The buildings are waiting.
The plans are taking shape.
Now we need our community behind us.
Help us build The Jungle Experience.
Thank you,
