D1C1 Community Christmas Appeal - SPONSOR A BOX!
Christmas is a special time of year full of love, warmth and festivities but for some, it can be a time of loneliness and isolation. It is our mission, together with our D1C1 Community, to create a Christmas where everyone belongs: spreading love and hope to those who need it the most!
OUR WHY?
Born in the midst of the pandemic in December 2020; Sponsor a box started as a small community effort to bring hope during a very challenging time. Through generous donations and local support, we created 100 Christmas gift boxes for care leavers in Birmingham.
But we didn't stop there...
Since 2020 we have gifted over 1,000 boxes, spreading love to:
What started as a simple act of kindness has now become an annual Community-led season of giving called D1C1 Community Christmas and we are inviting YOU to support us this year!
OUR 2025 GOAL
This year, we’re aiming to give away a whopping 500 Gift boxes!
250 Children’s Gift Boxes - Give 250 local children a gift to open and a reason to smile this Christmas.
50 gift boxes for Care leavers - Provide 50 Care Leavers with a festive Christmas celebration with love and warmth.
200 Winter Warm Boxes - Keep 200 people/families warm with essentials this winter.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT?
Every box is packed with love by local volunteers and funded by you, our D1C1 Community!
