Thank you for the support it helps us upgrade vital equipment, stay safe, grow, and welcome more people into traditional Cornish gig rowing
Hayle Pilot Gig Club is a welcoming, community-focused rowing club based in the heart of Hayle, Cornwall. Rooted in the rich tradition of Cornish pilot gig rowing, we bring people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities together on the water to enjoy one of Cornwall’s most historic sports.
Our club is built on teamwork, friendship and a genuine passion for rowing. Whether someone is completely new to the sport, returning after time away, or keen to compete at a high level, we offer an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. We’re proud to be one of the most affordable gig clubs in the area, ensuring cost is never a barrier for those who want to get involved.
At Hayle Pilot Gig Club, you’ll find a strong sense of community, a dedicated volunteer spirit, and a shared love of the Cornish coastline. From youth development and social rowing to racing at local and national events, we’re here to help people discover the joy, confidence and connection that come from being part of a true community club.

We need to modernize some of our equipment and some of it is quite old and on our 50th anniversary we thought it was time we have called this project. Phoenix to give New Life to us this would have a lasting impact and we would immediately purchase everything listed below means we will be able to offer more to the local communities with out our help we can

this is what we would buy
pins we need hard and soft pins =540
radios and repair to seats
life jackets 10 x 14 = 1400
gig trolleys 475 x 4 = 1900
speed coach ak speed coach
459 x 3 =1377
dry bag xxl
60 x 5 =300
gig cover
1800
foot straps
17.50 x 24 = 420
total £8537

It will impact the whole community as we'll be able to offer more to more people to get involved with this heritage sport from all old age ranges We strive to be as inclusive as possible
The equipment stated above would open so many doors for the local and the club as we can have dedicated kit for for each boat, meaning we can get more people rowing the gig cover would protect our boat that needs it as it is stored outside The speed coaches will help us modernize the training we can offer as well as the straps this would be a substantial game for us and have a lasting impact

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3 Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
Let's make it a reality and build for the future on the 50th anniversary we have a lot to celebrate
