Aim

Restoring Our Early Years: Help Cheddon Fitzpaine Church School recover from the devastating flooding.

In January, the unexpected happened. Heavy floods swept through our beloved Cheddon Fitzpaine school, leaving our youngest learners facing a very difficult start to the year. Our Class One classroom - the heart of our Early Years environment - bore the brunt of the damage. Floors, furniture, and essential learning resources were ruined by the water, forcing our children to be relocated to temporary spaces within the school. While our staff and pupils have shown incredible resilience, the loss of their dedicated "home" at school has been a huge disruption to their play and development.

Turning the Tide: From Floods to Fresh Air

As the weather begins to brighten and we move toward spring, we want to give these children something wonderful to look forward to. We aren't just looking to replace what was lost; we want to build back better and brighter. Our goal is to transform our outdoor learning area into a haven of creativity and physical play. Fresh air and outdoor exploration are vital for children who have had their indoor world turned upside down.

How Your Donation Will Help

We are aiming to raise funds to equip our outside area with high-quality, durable equipment that will last for years to come. Your generosity will go directly toward purchasing:

 * A New Mud Kitchen: For sensory play and "culinary" masterpieces.

* A Large Sand Pit: To encourage collaborative play and fine motor skills.

* Ride-on Toys: To help our little ones develop balance and coordination.

 * Outdoor Learning Resources: Including building blocks, water play sets, and active toys.

Every Penny Counts. Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or a larger contribution, every donation brings us a step closer to getting Class One back to doing what they do best: learning through play. Our school is the heart of this community, and we are so grateful for the support you've shown us during this soggy start to 2026. Let's make sure the rest of the year is filled with sunshine, smiles, and plenty of outdoor fun.

Thank you for your kindness and support!
