To bring creativity, connection, and belonging to people in Stockport and Oldham through a blend of workshops and 121 support in person.
As an Artist and Creative Coach, I aim to use creativity to continue to bring healing to people in Stockport and Oldham through a blend of workshops on ‘creativity to heal ’, as well as allowing a space where people can talk about their experiences, find connection with people in similar circumstances by providing inclusive 'homes' for little kids and big kids!
My passion, fuelled by 26 years of experience within education and coaching, is to use talking therapies alongside art, nature and sound to prevent poor mental wellbeing in people of all ages, as well as offering safety and security when they need it most.
I saw this recently from an article, ‘An Interpersonal Lens’ written for Psychology Today by Jason Shimiaie M.D.
‘For individuals with depression, the emotional stimulation from art can rekindle a sense of connection with the world. For those processing trauma, abstract or symbolic representations in art provide a safe space to explore difficult emotions. Even individuals with anxiety may find the meditative focus on creating or observing art soothing.’
Not just me!

I’m part of a collaborative team of specialists. Including Fleur, a BACP-accredited nature-based counsellor, two fully qualified teachers (holding QTLS and Cert Ed qualifications), and a trauma-informed consultant working alongside us. All specialists have enhanced DBS checks and professional indemnity and public liability insurances in place.
Planned bespoke for you, Becky J Field will facilitate sessions for the Creative Minds Collective, drawing on combined strengths in art and nature-based practices from a variety of people and specialists. Our shared priority is the safety and well-being of everyone who engages with us.
Nadia Myserson plays a vital role in the collective by ensuring all our programs and gatherings are grounded in trauma-informed principles, supporting the integrity and care behind everything we offer.
The vision is to secure a 'home' to run workshops and creative activities for people of all ages throughout Stockport and Oldham so that there are no barriers to them accessing support!
We are raising funds to secure a home in Studio 1853 in Chadderton, Oldham as well as a studio based in Stockport, so that we can create a home. Our time and resources will match the funds raised through the affordable membership, ensuring cost is not a barrier to accessing support.
The funding will be used to build a foundation for the first 12 months as we build our CIC (Rooted Fusion), where, after the initial 12 months, we will be able to sustain funding through other sources, such as the Arts Council, National Lottery Community Funds, Oldham Council to name a few.
We currently have incredible experience of over 50 years+ between the directors that bring Rooted Fusion CIC together along with our lived experience of bereavement, addiction, neurodiversity, trauma, bullying, and domestic abuse. Our work so far has merely touched the outskirts of what we can do as a collective, but we have some incredible testimonials on our respective websites:
We are reaching out to all businesses to sponsorship/donations so we can start to build our 'home' together, through raising funds to make it happen!!! You will obviously be featured in promotional material as we build our special home.
Thank you so much from us 3, but especially on behalf of all the people who WILL access this incredible collective throughout the years to come.
The rooms will also be available to hire for other projects supporting Oldham as the Town of Culture (2026/2027) as well as Stockport neighbourhood and prevention pledge - Stockport Live Well.
Our Asset Lock for the CIC Rooted Fusion CIC is Friendly Fridays. Should we have any funds left in the crowdfunder pot, this will be distributed to support even further those people affected by isolation.
