Aim
Marking 100 years by investing in inclusive facilities that remove barriers and keep community cricket open to everyone.
Who are we?
Whitchurch Heath Cricket Club is a volunteer-run community club with a proud history and a growing future. We support juniors, women’s cricket and senior teams, and provide a welcoming space for players, families, officials and supporters of all backgrounds.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are investing over £25,000 to improve our cricket facilities and make the club more inclusive and accessible, and to support junior development and the growth of women’s cricket.
Alongside this, we urgently need to modernise our clubhouse facilities. Our toilets are outdated and no longer meet the needs of a modern community club, particularly with increasing participation from women, girls, juniors, disabled users and families. Crowdfunding will help us deliver safe, dignified and accessible facilities for everyone.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Funds raised will directly support essential facility improvements, including:
- Installation of new practice nets
- Purchase of a pitch roller
- New scoreboard
- Modernised and accessible toilet facilities, including improved provision for women, girls and disabled users
Every pound raised will go back into the club and benefit those who use it.
Community impact
Whitchurch Heath CC plays an important role in the local community. Our facilities support junior development, women’s cricket and grassroots sport, helping people stay active, build confidence and form lasting connections.
By improving accessibility and inclusivity, we are removing barriers to participation and ensuring cricket is open to all — now and for future generations.
