Aim
We're looking to grow our business by investing in a range of frozen pizzas which cook in the air fryer!
We opened Larry's in April 2024, an independently owned Pizzeria & Street Food Restaurant in Wroxham/Hoveton on the Norfolk Broads. It's a very seasonal area, so we have to work extremely hard to keep the doors open and give our amazing team the hours they need to keep them employed over the Winter.
We've got big growth ideas, including seeking a second premises in Norwich and further afield where we're likely to have more consistent footfall; but in the meantime we're thinking outside the box on ways to maximise staff efficiency during down-times.
We've developed a frozen pizza range designed to fit in a standard Air Fryer. These cook in just 5-6 minutes with no waiting for the oven to pre-heat! We're getting great feedback so far and are selling both retail and wholesale.
(The pizza can, of course, be cooked in a conventional oven too!)
But as this grows we need to invest further in storage. We're going to need a walk-in freezer or freezer-trailer in order to keep up with the demand required to push this where we'd love it to be.
Our aim is that this side-line to the main restaurant will help to fund a second restaurant and help us to employ more staff locally.
SIDE NOTE: Larry's is named after our13 year old cockapoo - the little guy looking at his reflection in our picture there. He's a huge favourite of the locals and people often come in just to give him a fuss and a cuddle. He is frequently recognised in and around Wroxham and is at the heart of our business.
