Aim

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Sing Along the River in Lostwithiel, we are fundraising for our unique event and community organisation.

Sing Along the River - 10th Anniversary

This is a day long celebration of song from midday on Saturday 23rd August 2025 until 9pm, alongside the river Fowey and under the trees, lights and bunting on Lostwithiel's Parade Gardens.

Really Lovely Projects CIC launched Sing Along the River during the August of 2014. And "from little acorns great oak trees grow..." This is our set up over a decade ago....

With a band of hard working volunteers, a borrowed stage and sound system, a few strings of bunting and fairy lights.... Over the years, with help of funding from FEAST, Arts Council England and Cornwall Community Foundation, we have created something really special which looks like this...

We have featured over 60 different singing groups, hundreds of singers and delighted 1000s of local people and visitors. And all for FREE.

This year we are holding our first day long celebration of Sing Along the River with extra special moments between sets to sing much loved Cornish songs, a song book will be for sale.

In addition you can also sing along with a wide range of brilliant choirs and community singing groups from all over Cornwall.

There will be a bar provided by Castle Brewery, Thai food, Big Pan dishes, hot and cold drinks, cakes and treats by Quay Steet Café and delicious ice cream by The Little Ice Cream company will be on offer, from just over the road.

Really Lovely Projects and our volunteers have fundraised for and oversee the lovely festoon lights and electrical supply for Lostwithiel’s parade gardens.

Through grant funding and we have been able to purchase a large stage, lighting rig and power cables, sound cables, stretch tents, gazebos, sign boards and trestle tables, all of  which support the rich and diverse plethora of local community organisations and events the volunteers of Lostwithiel put on.
