Help us rescue Zeus and give him a home.

Aim

Zeus is in foster care in Spain, we're raising funds to give him a second chance - covering transport and care.

We lost our little dog Floss just over a year ago, and the space she’s left behind has been far bigger than we expected. Anyone who has loved a dog will understand that kind of absence.

Recently, we came across a small dog in Spain through the rescue we helped establish back in 2012, where we first met Floss. His name is Zeus.

There wasn’t any grand plan behind it, just that moment of recognition. Something about him felt familiar, and difficult to walk away from.

This isn’t entirely altruistic. We miss her deeply, and we know that opening our home to another dog might help us find our way back to something like ourselves again.

But it also feels like a chance to give him something he doesn’t currently have ~ a safe, steady home, and plenty of love.

Zeus is currently in Spain, now in foster care, so he is safe. Bringing him here involves transport, tests, vaccinations, and castration.

The total cost comes to around £850, which is more than we can manage on our own right now.

So we wanted to ask, gently, if anyone might like to help us do this.

We’ve set up this fundraiser, and in return have made a small collection of pieces ~ things we’ve been quietly playing with for many years, alongside Flower & Fable. It all felt right for this moment.

Our candles were always loved in our old shop, and alongside them are a series of small devotional pieces, inspired by comfort, protection, and companionship.

Though the medium has changed, the wonderful Paul O’Grady bought one of my first rosaries back in 2010, after he lost Buster. Somehow these makes have always felt connected to dogs…

It’s simply this really ~ offering something meaningful, and if you’d like to take part, it helps us do something we couldn’t do alone.
