Funds support school rugby: buying safe equipment and covering our community coach’s expenses so more children can access the sport.
🎃 Thirsk RUFC Spooktacular Prize Draw – Supporting Rugby in Local Schools
The Prize
Our Second Spooktacular Prize Draw is packed with brilliant prizes donated by amazing local businesses who love supporting community rugby. You could win a meal for two at Spice 71, a £30 bar tab at the Dog & Gun Carlton Miniott, a two‑ball round of golf at Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club, a £25 voucher for The Wright Cake, plus a bundle of smaller prizes drawn on the night. Every prize has been chosen to celebrate our community and give supporters something genuinely worth getting excited about.
We’ll be drawing multiple winners live at 9:30pm on Halloween Night, during the Dog & Gun’s Halloween Party. Winners will be announced in person and contacted directly afterwards. Vouchers will be emailed or posted, and physical prizes can be collected from the club. It’s fun, it’s local, and it’s all in support of something that matters.
The Cause
Thirsk RUFC is launching a dedicated Community Coach Programme to bring rugby into local primary and secondary schools. Many schools don’t have specialist rugby coaches or the equipment needed to run safe, inclusive sessions. We want to change that.
Funds raised will go directly towards:
Equipment provision for school sessions: balls, tag belts, cones, pads, first‑aid supplies, and safe training kit.
Expenses for our community coach: travel, planning time, safeguarding requirements, coaching materials, and delivery costs.
This programme will give hundreds of children the chance to try rugby—building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and belonging. As a volunteer‑led club, this is a huge step forward in supporting young people across Thirsk and surrounding villages. Your entry helps us open doors for children who may never have had the chance to pick up a ball.
How to Enter
Tickets are available through Crowdfunder, with great savings on multi‑ticket bundles. Tickets can be bought on the night but will be at full ticket cost. Each ticket equals one entry into the draw. Entrants must be 18 or over. The draw closes on 31 October, with winners announced live that evening.
A free postal entry route is available, as required by UK law. Full details are included in our Terms & Conditions.
Help Spread the Word
If you know someone who’d love to win these prizes—or who cares about getting more children into sport—please share our Crowdfunder. Every entry helps us grow rugby in our community.
