Together, We Stand to Protect Mayford Village Green Belt
We need to raise funds to stop developers building >300 homes on Green Belt Land on the boarders of Mayford Village and Hook Heath. If this is approved it will affect everyone in the area.
Mayford is more than just a village, it’s a community, a home, and a place where nature still thrives. Many of us have grown up here, raised families here, and found peace in the green spaces that surround us. These beautiful fields, where foxes, rabbits, and deer roam freely are now under threat.
This plan, having been rejected many times, keeps returning, driven by profit rather than the needs of our community or the wellbeing of our environment.
These fields are not just land they are part of Mayford Village’s and Hook Heath’s identity. Losing it would mean losing a piece of what makes the area special.
Why We Are Fundraising
We are raising funds to cover legal costs for advice and representation from a Planning Barrister and transport consultant with a view to stopping the proposed development. The funds are crucial to challenge the application through the appropriate legal and planning channels. Your donation will help us save our Green Belt

- Ensure our councillors understand the legal implications and options.
- Prepare a strong, community-backed case against the development.
