Rest with dignity:

We are a volunteer-led group in West Lothian called Cats lost and found, dedicated to helping reunite lost cats with their families. Every day, we support owners searching for missing pets and work closely with local communities to help bring cats home where they belong.

Sadly, not every story has a happy ending.

The Rest with dignity fund has been created to cover the costs of collecting cats found on roads, scanning for microchips, recording details, attempting to locate owners, and providing respectful aftercare when no family can be identified.

Your donation will help ensure that no cat is treated as disposable garbage. It will help give them the care and dignity they deserve in their final journey, while also giving families the best possible chance of learning what happened to a missing pet.

From time to time, cats are found deceased on our roads. Whenever possible, we scan for microchips, check reports of missing cats, and make every effort to identify them and trace their owners. Unfortunately, some cats cannot be identified, and despite our best efforts, no family can be found.

We believe that every cat deserves kindness, dignity, and respect, when they remain unclaimed.

Thank you for helping us ensure that no cat is forgotten and that they can rest peacefully on their final journey. We have set a target of £1,000 which means hopefully it will cover the cost of at least 10 unclaimed cats getting cremated.
