Aim

Arham is a 1-year-old baby in Bangladesh born with a critical congenital heart defect. He urgently needs corrective surgery to survive.

About Arham

My name is Sabina and I am based in London.

While visiting Bangladesh, I met a father and his baby son completely by chance at a tea garden. During our conversation I noticed the child appeared unwell and the father explained his situation. After meeting the family personally and reviewing the hospital reports, I promised I would help them reach people who could support his treatment.

This fundraiser is for Arham, a 1-year-old baby boy diagnosed with a serious congenital heart disease.

Doctors have confirmed he was born with:

• Pulmonary Atresia
• Large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)
• PDA-dependent pulmonary circulation

Because of this condition, blood from his heart cannot properly reach his lungs to receive oxygen. As a result, his oxygen levels drop and his lips and skin sometimes turn bluish.

His oxygen saturation has been recorded at around 83%, which doctors say is dangerously low for a child.

Cardiologists have clearly advised that without corrective surgery his life is at risk.

The Treatment Required

Specialists have recommended total corrective open-heart surgery to repair the heart defect and allow proper blood flow to the lungs.

The family has visited multiple medical centres including the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute in Dhaka and cardiology specialists, and all medical reports confirm the same diagnosis and urgent need for surgery.

The estimated cost of surgery, hospital care and recovery is approximately £9,000.

Medical Proof

Multiple echocardiograms and cardiology reports confirm the diagnosis of pulmonary atresia with a large ventricular septal defect and the urgent need for surgical correction.

To ensure transparency, I am uploading hospital documentation and will continue to provide updates.

Why I Am Organising This

Arham’s father works daily labour jobs and supports his family with very limited income. Despite his efforts, the cost of surgery is completely beyond what they can afford locally.

I am organising this fundraiser on their behalf because they do not have the ability to reach people internationally, while I can manage donations transparently from the UK.

All funds raised will be used only for Arham’s medical treatment and hospital expenses.

I will also post updates, receipts and progress reports so donors can follow Arham’s treatment journey.

How You Can Help

This surgery can give Arham the chance to grow up as a healthy child.

If you are able to donate, any amount helps.
If you cannot donate, sharing this page may reach someone who can.

Thank you for taking the time to read and support Arham.cover photo

Message from his father:

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

I am a simple, hardworking and helpless father from Sreemangal.

My 1 year and 2 months old baby boy, Arham, is suffering from a complex congenital heart disease.

Doctors have clearly said that without surgery, my child will not survive.

Every day when I see him struggling to breathe and his lips turning bluish, my heart breaks into pieces.

I earn my living through daily labor and somehow manage our household, but arranging the cost of this life-saving treatment is completely beyond my ability.

I have applied for government assistance and am visiting the Social Services Office, but time is running out.

🙏 Please help by sharing this post.

🙏 If anyone knows any organization, doctor, hospital, or any possible way to get help, please inform me.

🙏 Please keep my child in your prayers, so that my little son can survive and grow up like a normal child.
