We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to raise 60k to build a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch, fencing and lighting for our school
We are a Primary School based in Rock Ferry
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re crowdfunding because we simply don’t have the budget to fund a MUGA pitch on our own — but we know how much it would mean to our students and wider school community.
Like many schools, our funding is stretched, and while we can cover day-to-day needs, larger projects like this fall beyond our reach without extra support. A MUGA pitch would provide a safe, all-weather sports space that our students desperately need — but without help from generous supporters like you, it just isn’t possible.
We believe in the power of community, and we’re reaching out to parents, local businesses, alumni, and supporters to help make this vision a reality.
Together, we can build something amazing that will benefit children for years to come.
Every penny we raise will go directly toward building and equipping our new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch. Here's how the funds will be used:
Groundworks and Site Preparation – Preparing the area, leveling the ground, and ensuring proper drainage.
MUGA Surface Installation – Laying the high-quality, all-weather surface suitable for multiple sports.
Fencing and Safety Features – Installing secure perimeter fencing, gates, and safety padding.
Sports Equipment – Goals, nets, line markings, and equipment for games like football, basketball, tennis, and netball.
Lighting (if applicable) – To allow for safe use during darker months and after-school hours.
Contingency & Maintenance Fund – A small portion will be set aside for any unexpected costs and initial maintenance.
We will provide regular updates as the project progresses, and full transparency on how the funds are being used.Together, we can create a lasting space that supports physical activity, wellbeing, and school spirit!
This MUGA pitch won’t just benefit our school — it will become a vital hub for the whole community.
For Students:
Daily access to a safe, all-weather space for sports and physical education.
Boosts mental and physical wellbeing.
Encourages teamwork, confidence, and resilience.
Enables more after-school clubs and activities.
For the Local Community:
The pitch can be opened up during evenings, weekends, and holidays for local sports clubs, youth groups, and families.
Creates a safe, inclusive space for young people to be active and engaged.
Strengthens school-community partnerships and opens the door to hosting community events and tournaments.
Long-Term Benefits:
Helps tackle childhood inactivity and improve long-term health outcomes.
Supports local initiatives focused on wellbeing, inclusion, and social connection.
Increases pride in the school and surrounding area — a place people can be proud of.
This is not just a sports pitch — it’s an investment in our children, families, and future. With your support, we can build something that makes a real and lasting difference.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
