Animal Stories - Website

What drives me is making a difference and for me there is no better way than working with animals. Animals don’t lie and when we listen to them we create the opportunity for them to communicate with us their needs.

My aim is to raise money to fund my visits to reach rescued captive wildlife that have had traumatic lives to help them heal themselves emotionally, mentally and physically so that they may lead more peaceful lives where they are. Currently I visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre in North Borneo 2 times per year and would love to continue with your support.

This can help on many levels and works well alongside their current care often under the supervision of veterinarians and can help necessary interactions between the animal and keepers too.

In some cases this might be supporting them with anxiety from being near humans or supporting them with their fears in going outside. This takes time and patience and while I have a full time job and a part time animal practice, from my previous 5 visits to the BSBCC we can see a difference with how the bears feel even if it is down to some pampering/enrichment in the form of what I offer them. It is always the sun bears choice which makes this so magical as they choose to engage with us.

Can you imagine if more captive wild animals had access to this, how many lives we can transform?

The funds go towards my flights, accommodation, food and any remedies in my toolkit that are required. Each trip is around £2500 - £3000.

Floral waters that can be used to enrich their lives and bring comfort.
