Help us build a community through music, storytelling and shared experiences, where people can connect, open up and feel less alone.

This is Lived In Lyrics

Lived In Lyrics started with something very simple: real life.

The thoughts we carry. The experiences that shape us. The things we sometimes struggle to say out loud.

Those experiences became words. The words became lyrics. The lyrics became music.

But along the way, Lived In Lyrics became something bigger than music.

It's about how we feel.

It's about creating a space where people can recognise something of themselves in a song, a story or another person's experience — and perhaps feel confident enough to start talking about what's going on in their own lives.

Building the community

We're starting in Merthyr Tydfil, with the ambition to build a community that can eventually reach far beyond Wales.

The aim isn't to replace professional mental-health services, charities or existing community groups. It's to create another doorway into openness and conversation — a natural progression that can help someone build the confidence to take that next step and find the right support.

Sometimes walking through the door of a group, speaking to somebody for the first time, or asking a professional for help can feel daunting.

We want to make that first step feel a little easier.

Follow the Journey

We're not asking people simply to listen to finished music.

Follow the Journey allows people to see the process as it happens — the music, the filming, the locations, the ideas, the setbacks, the progress and the real life behind it all.

Because this isn't about one song.

Songs will continue to be written and released. Stories will continue to develop. The project will continue to evolve.

The bigger purpose is the community that grows around it.

What we're building

With your support, we want to develop the foundations needed to grow Lived In Lyrics into a sustainable community project.

That means developing our content and digital presence, creating opportunities for people to connect, continuing to produce music and storytelling, and eventually developing Lived In Lyrics clothing and other products that allow the community to support the project financially.

As the community grows, our aim is for the project to become increasingly sustainable through its own activities and revenue, allowing us to keep reinvesting into its development and social purpose.

Why we're asking for your help

We're at the beginning of this journey.

We've already started creating the music, content and identity behind Lived In Lyrics, and we're beginning to see people connect with it.
